I love music

Music is amazing. We all love some form of music. Music has great power. It can make us happy, sad, mad, content. Music effect your head, your heart and your feet. Music can make us do dumb things, like dance. It can make us drive an extra minute or two.Think about it, when you see someone grooving in their car, you try to find the station that matches the rhythm of their dancing. Look how ofter we post music clips on our Facebook page or use a song lyric on our status line. Music is awesome that way.

One thing about me is that I love music, all kinds of music. Now, I find that this statement is one of the easiest things to say. It's so easy to say "I love all kinds of music". I hear it a lot, and it follow with a few types of music or an well known artist of a type of music. It's easy to name drop Johnny Cash or Eminem or even a Miles Davis. When I say I love music, I try to back it up better than just namedropping. I am willing to listen to as many types as I can. I can listen to anything. I heard so many types of music and I want to listen to more. I always say "try me". I used to love buying CD. I used to have a decent size collection, about 300. I always say that I want the kind of collection that make people see and say to me "Wow, you like this....Cool" and "Wow, you like this?!?" I'm funny that way.

Music is always a good way to get a conversation going. Mention a song or a band you like and you can get a vast array of agreement or disagreements. We see Top 10, Top 50 and Top 100 all time greatest song, artist, band whatever and that is a good way to get discussion started. They will never be a definitive all time best of anything because you really can't judge an art form, it's all subjective. One person good is another person bad. Someone should of been higher, someone should of been lower, take this band out, and why wasn't this band included. Then next month another top 100 of all time shows up and the conversation starts over again. Meh...what can you do?

I love going on YouTube and seeing comment about who sucks and who is great. Every generation has their targets that everyone loves to hate. We love reminiscing about what we though was good, even though those older than us though it wasn't that good and those younger don't see why we liked it. It goes back to our love of music and how it can take us back to a time in our lives that we fondly look back.

Then again, what do I know...I'm a moron, but at least I know that ICP sucks.
